Evidence-Trace Case Studies

Worked investigations that apply one method to questions from different fields. Each starts from a claim that sounds right, turns it into proof obligations, sets it against competing hypotheses, checks it against sources that could have contradicted it, and records how the belief changed and what would change it again. The method is set out in Thinking in Public; these pages show it at work, including where it overturns or refines the claim it began with.
